I love to assist in choosing colors and fabrics that helps to bring one's eye in to focus—and rest—on the sacred image.
Because my home is fairly small I can only frame thangka paintings and prints that are smaller than 20" x 30".
I am unable to frame paintings on paper, they do not hold up to the stitches that adding a fabric frame will require.
You will need to ship me your canvas.
It takes me about 20 hours to frame one thangka. I hand-sew those details that I feel will look best if I do so. My labor "flat fee" for a medium sized thangka is $340.
The cost of materials depend on which fabrics you choose. When using Chinese silk/rayon brocades the cost is around $100 for a medium sized thangka (the majority of the thankas pictured in my portfolio are framed using these brocades).
I can custom outfit your Ritual Instruments!
Covers and handles require me to have your precious Instruments on hand.
Chod and damaru tails can be made without me having your drum. I can adjust the length of the tail according to your preferences and am happy to add tassels and beads if you wish.
It is traditional to wrap sacred books and texts in beautiful fabrics to protect and respect them. It is customary to store them in a place of honor in one's home.
In my lineage we mostly use the sublime translations and formatting style of Padma Publishing, but I can make covers based on any dimensions. Personally I prefer the envelope style, but I can also make wrap-around style and stand-up style covers.
My sweetheart plays bansuri flute.
My meditation teacher plays the Shakuhashi flute.
I enjoy the music.
And I make flute covers!
If your flute is fairly straight I can make a cover for it using the measurements you provide, but if your flute is curvy I would need you to ship your flute to me in order to create a cover.
